" WATER FOR LIFE "
Elsabe from Danville Help officially receives the project from DG Chris Pretorius
Our Club recognised the need for each household of the Andeon Community to have drinking water piped to their front doors.
A large portion of the fund was donated by a member of the community who wished to remain anonymous. The club donated the balance to fund the "Water for Life" project.
The bore hole storage tank was equipped with a booster pump to feed the ring main. This pipe supplies stand pipes and taps at the occupants front door.
Ablution Block Upgrade
Water was plumbed into the ablution block and a new sewerage system was installed. The Club donated a new sewerage tank and the grey water was separated into an alternate closed septic tank .

Elsabe the fund raiser , social worker and "Mother" to the destitute thanks the Club for the "tap" project.

Phase III - Hot Water in the Ablution Block The folk shower in cold water. Plans are in place to fit the ablution block with a basic hot water boiler. The "donkey boiler" will be fueled by wood or coal during the winter months. Funds to be raised R 2000.
Phase IV - Bio Gas Generator Through the collection of organic waste products - methane gas can be collected and used as a source of energy. This method is used very successfully in INDIA.
